Sad news for Franco Colapinto ahead of the Brazilian Grand Prix: his grandfather Leonidas has passed away
It’s a golden period for Franco Colapinto, with his Formula 1 debut, impressive performances so far, and a growing demand and enthusiasm from both the market and fans.
However, amid this spectacular period in his life, there’s also space for sorrow: this morning came the announcement of the passing of Leonidas Colapinto, Franco’s paternal grandfather, at the age of 89. Known not only for his grandson but also as a distinguished writer and lawyer, Leonidas was a well-respected figure.
The funeral will take place in his hometown of Bahia Blanca, Argentina. As reported by Mara Sangiorgio, the Williams driver appeared at the racetrack with a somber expression and a beige cap pulled low, showing his sadness for the loss.
