No Valencia round for MotoGP: the 2024 championship will end at a different venue
In an official statement on its website, MotoGP has confirmed the cancellation of the final 2024 world championship round in Valencia due to the recent flooding. This decision will not mean ending the season in Malaysia; Dorna has announced that a new venue will be found soon for the final showdown between Jorge Martin and Pecco Bagnaia.

MotoGP™ expresses its solidarity with the Community of Valencia following the devastating floods that have affected the area. Our thoughts are with those who have lost their lives and those who have lost so much.
We have been in constant contact with local authorities and the circuit to assess how we can help and how best to proceed. We have a responsibility to every region where we race that goes beyond sport and events.
After carefully considering the potential positive impact of holding the MotoGP™ race in Valencia at a later date versus ensuring no resources are diverted from recovery efforts by our presence, the championship and local authorities have been obliged to cancel the 2024 Valencia GP.
Instead of racing in Valencia, MotoGP™ will race for Valencia. The championship will support the relief funds already in place to ensure our positive impact best serves the area and the communities we have been part of for so long.
Our support will begin during the Malaysian GP and continue through the 2024 season finale, with a new venue and dates to be announced as soon as confirmed.
