Lando Norris is eager to race in Brazil, as the British McLaren driver is currently 47 points behind Max Verstappen.
Norris still believes in the Drivers’ Championship. Fresh off a second-place finish in the Mexican Grand Prix, the McLaren‘s driver has cut 10 points from Verstappen‘s lead, bringing the gap to 47 points. While the difference remains significant, with four races and two sprints left, everything is still possible.
Next weekend, Formula 1 will arrive in Brazil for the third consecutive Grand Prix after those in Austin and Mexico City. The Sprint Race returns, meaning there will be more points up for grabs, but that’s not all: according to weather forecasts, rain could play a significant role on Sunday and shake things up in the title battle.
Lando Norris, buoyed by his second-place finish in Mexico City and the points gained on Verstappen, is looking forward to racing in Brazil. Here’s what the McLaren driver had to say: “Starting the weekend with the second place in Mexico is fantastic. It’s been a couple of intense weeks for all of us with back-to-back races, so getting a solid result halfway through before heading to Brazil is really positive. The São Paulo Grand Prix is always a fun event. The fans welcome us warmly, and the city has a special atmosphere. Being another Sprint weekend, there will be more points available. I can’t wait—let’s go!”
