It’s official: Ugo Ugochukwu moves up to F3, the American driver, part of the McLaren Academy, steps up to the next level
He is likely one of the stars of the future, and who knows if he will follow in the footsteps of his Academy teammate Gabriel Bortoleto. Ugo Ugochukwu, currently 14th in the Formula Regional Championship with 45 points and a podium finish in Race 2 at the Hungaroring, will be moving up to Formula 3, replacing the outgoing Gabriele Minì (heading to F2).

Lavorare con tutte le persone qui è speciale, la chimica è eccellente e rende il lavoro molto piacevole sia dentro che fuori pista. Abbiamo avuto due stagioni positive insieme e non vedo l’ora di costruire su questo, sono sicuro che avremo un buon anno.”
Prema Racing Team Principal Rene Rosin also expressed his excitement: We’ve enjoyed working with Ugo over the past two years, from Formula 4 to Formula Regional, and we believe he has great potential. We’re convinced he will be a perfect fit for FIA Formula 3 next year in terms of his approach and driving style. We will soon begin preparations, and we’re excited to help him make a smooth and successful transition to the new series.”
