Yuki Tsunoda experienced an unfortunate incident during a Red Bull showrun in Taiwan as his RB8 suddenly caught fire
It’s a tough time for Red Bull, not only on the track. The Milton Keynes team, which has lost its constructors’ lead after more than two years, is now chasing McLaren with slim hopes of securing a third consecutive title. To make matters worse, bad luck struck their once “victorious” RB8.
Yuki Tsunoda, a Red Bull Academy driver, was performing donuts during the showrun in Taiwan when the V8 engine of his Red Bull RB8 caught fire. Tsunoda quickly exited the vehicle as safety marshals and Red Bull mechanics intervened to prevent further damage.
This incident adds to Red Bull’s string of misfortunes, with the team not having won since the Spanish Grand Prix last June. All eyes are now on Austin, hoping for a much-needed comeback.
