The results of the Sprint MotoGP in Indonesia: it’s an Italian 1-2 in Mandalika, as Martin crashes and the championship gap narrows!

Bagnaia’s masterstroke! An incredible Sprint race by the Italian rider, who wins in Mandalika and closes the gap to -12 points in the championship from Jorge Martin. For the Spanish rider, it was a disappointing 10th place after crashing on the second lap.

Enea Bastianini, already fast from yesterday, finishes second, while Marc Marquez takes third place, with Marco Bezzecchi in fourth.

Points were also scored by Acosta, Morbidelli, Vinales, Zarco, and Di Giannantonio.

Race Summary

THE START – Martin starts well, but it’s Bagnaia and Marquez who surprise: both, starting from 4th and 12th respectively, climb to second and fifth positions, taking significant risks. The big twist happens on the second lap: Jorge Martin crashes while leading the race!

Bagnaia takes the lead, now virtually -12 in the championship. Behind him are Bezzecchi and Marc Marquez, with Martin falling to last place but still in the race. Bezzecchi then runs wide, dropping to fourth behind Marquez and Bastianini. Martin recovers up to 13th with five laps to go.

Bagnaia cruises to victory, while Bastianini successfully overtakes Marquez. It’s a dream 1-2 finish for Ducati, with an Italian double triumph!
