Archived the weekend in Barcelona and the summer break, the F1 Academy resumes in the Netherlands at the Zandvoort Circuit: let’s take a look at all the news regarding the fourth round of the championship of the category directed by Susie Wolff.
It’s race week for the F1 Academy at Zandvoort! With the weekend in Barcelona concluded, the focus shifts to the Netherlands. While Abbi Pulling continues to dominate the championship with four wins out of the six races held so far, the battle for second place is a tight one between Doriane Pin and Chloe Chambers, who are currently tied with 81 points each. In their head-to-head, it has emerged that the French driver has outqualified the Haas driver four times, two more than Chambers. However, the best average placement goes to the American driver with 4.16 compared to Doriane Pin’s 4.5.
Additionally, on the eve of the Dutch weekend, the partnership between F1 Academy and The Female Quotient (The FQ) was officially announced. The FQ is an experiential, media, and transformation consultancy that aims to promote gender equality in the workplace. “To mark the beginning of the partnership, The FQ will display its brand on the Wild Card car for Round 4 of the F1 Academy season at Zandvoort, where Dutch driver Nina Gademan will make her debut with PREMA Racing.
“I believe the Wild Card entries present an excellent opportunity for us to demonstrate what we are capable of in a field like F1 ACADEMY. I am truly grateful for this chance and for the support I have received from the F1 ACADEMY and the PREMA Racing team. I would also like to extend my sincere thanks to The Female Quotient for their support of the Wild Card initiative in Zandvoort. I will give my utmost to showcase my abilities and make the most of this opportunity” said Gademan.
Shelley Zalis, The Female Quotient Founder, said: “Every race begins with a dream, and it’s time we ensure that dream is accessible to everyone. That’s why we’re collaborating with F1 ACADEMY to bring more women into the world of motorsport and close the gender gap in the business of racing. We need more women in racing, not just to diversify the field, but to redefine what’s possible”.
“When girls and women see themselves behind the wheel, breaking records and barriers, they realize that speed, skill, and success aren’t bound by gender. Together, we’ll fuel the future of racing with the diverse talent and passion it deserves, driving equality forward on and off the track.” Shelley Zalis concluded by reiterating her company’s commitment to breaking the barriers that have often, perhaps too often, kept girls away from the world of motorsport, emphasizing the need to create concrete opportunities and encourage them to pursue their goals.
