Double penalty for Morbidelli at the British GP following the incident with Marco Bezzecchi: the Italian-Brazilian will have to serve two Long Lap penalties
It’s a tough break for Franco Morbidelli: the Italian-Brazilian rider from Prima Pramac Racing, who had a rough start to the season but made a comeback at the German Grand Prix, has been penalized with two Long Laps that he will serve during the Monster Energy British Grand Prix following the incident with Marco Bezzecchi at turn 1.
The impact, which occurred just a few meters after the start of the Sprint Race (won by Enea Bastianini), resulted in physical consequences for the VR46 Racing Team rider: Bezzecchi was taken to the medical center for further checks but seems to be able to race today.
Morbidelli will thus be forced into a comeback race: number 21, starting from the thirteenth position on the grid, will have to work even harder to climb up the ranks and try to fight for the important positions.
