Social media is buzzing with photos that appear to show Valtteri Bottas at the Olympics: the resemblance to the curling player is incredible!
It’s the summer break for Formula 1: some are resting, some are enjoying vacations, and some are staying fit by playing sports. Among them, some photos have emerged on social media that seem to show Valtteri Bottas at the 2024 Paris Olympics, during a curling match…
In reality, it’s just a lookalike, but the resemblance is striking: he is Matt Hamilton (not just any name, right?), an American curling player born just four months before the Finnish driver, and a gold medalist at the Pyeongchang 2018 Olympics.
Who is Matt Hamilton?
Matt Hamilton is an American curling player. Born on February 19, 1989, in Madison, Wisconsin, Hamilton started playing curling at a young age and quickly became one of the leading players in the U.S. curling scene.
The highlight of his career came when he participated in the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, where he helped lead the United States to victory in men’s curling. This was a historic triumph for the USA, as it was their first-ever gold medal in the sport.
