Max Verstappen’s anger hasn’t subsided post-race: “After my maneuver in Austria, they threw a lot of shit at me, now…”
This isn’t the Max Verstappen we’ve known in the past two years. After the incident with Lando Norris, it was clear that the Dutchman had changed his approach in recent races: no more generosity and clean maneuvers but, if necessary, attempts at overtaking and defense to the limit. Not only that, but in Hungary, we saw a furious Verstappen with his team, to the point that he was asked in interviews if “he thought he had been too hard on his team.”
Max Verstappen’s Words
Max Verstappen responded to the question: “Me, too hard? They can all fuck off! They threw a lot of shit at me in Austria, after the incident with Norris, saying I was moving under braking, blah blah blah.”.
Then, the comment on the incident with Hamilton: “Today, during braking, (Lewis Hamilton) kept turning right, and that’s why I locked up as well, because I was going for the move, but I saw the car on the outside kept coming at me. Otherwise, we would have already crashed before. I had to stop the car, and that’s why I locked up,”concluded an enraged Max Verstappen, still stung by a 5th place finish that certainly did not satisfy him.
