Results from FP2 MotoGP in Germany: Oliveira leads, followed by Martin and Vinales. Marquez and Diggia on track: here are their physical conditions.
Miguel Oliveira had an impressive performance, finishing first in the second practice session at Sachsenring with a time of 1:20.353. His strong times come amidst ongoing market discussions. Jorge Martin followed in second place, while Pecco Bagnaia took fourth without pushing his Desmosedici to the limit. Pedro Acosta had several off-track excursions, particularly in turns 4-5-6, and Vinales, who finished third, slid out in turn 1 without any serious consequences in the final minutes.
Marc Marquez’s Condition
The key focus of this session was observing Marc Marquez’s condition. The Spanish rider appeared in pain following his fall during yesterday’s Pre-Qualifying session, prompting modifications to his bike. Starting cautiously with the 22nd fastest time, Marquez gave a notable push early in the session, momentarily securing the fourth spot before ending in fifth. Michele Masini from Gresini told Sky: “Marc was in pain in his rib area. We need to take a few calculated laps: we hope to minimize the effort in Q1. But if he tries, he will aim to complete the weekend without holding back.”.
It was also important to check on Fabio Di Giannantonio’s health. As mentioned by Uccio, Di Giannantonio admitted to sleeping poorly due to the pain. He took some painkillers this morning for his shoulder injury from yesterday. Despite the discomfort, he seems to have regained some feel for the track, though managing the pain remains a challenge.
