All the joy and emotion of Miguel Molina at Le Mans: “This is the most beautiful day of my career by far. I want to thank everyone, last year…”
Joy, tears, and emotion. Miguel Molina’s face is almost stunned, incredulous, after his life was completely transformed in 24 hours: he has also become a winner of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, one of the most prestigious races in motorsport history. And together with Nicklas Nielsen and Antonio Fuoco, the class of 1989 has written a legendary page of history in the world of Ferrari.: the Ferrari 499P continues to rack up victories (HERE is the model of the winning car) but if last year the #50 secured four podium finishes in the season, one of them was a splendid second place at the 6 Hours of Monza 2023, this year the Red team wanted to make history.
And so, Miguel spoke immediately at the end of the race to the Eurosport microphones: “Last year we came very close to victory, but this repays us for all the efforts made…” We gave everything we had for this success, This is the best day of my career; I want sincerely thank everyone, all the people who have supported me throughout my career… of course starting with my parents, my wife, my children, and everyone who is part of my life., declared Molina, visibly in tears.
Miguel Molina’s career
Born on February 17, 1989, in Girona, Spain, Molina made his entry into the international racing scene in the 2000s. He is primarily known for his career in touring car and prototype sports competitions, where he has demonstrated exceptional driving and strategic abilities.
Molina started racing at a very young age and quickly made significant progress in the junior series of Spanish motorsport. His talent attracted attention and he had the opportunity to compete in various categories, including Formula 3, where he showed great potential. However, it was in the world of touring cars that he truly shone, establishing himself as one of the leading drivers in the Spanish championship and other European series.
Among his most significant successes are his competitive seasons in the World Touring Car Championship (WTCC) and in GT series, where he achieved important victories and demonstrated consistent results. His versatility as a driver is evident in his participation in endurance races such as the 24 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps and other long-distance competitions.
However, nothing compares to the victory achieved today: the 24 Hours of Le Mans crowns him among the Ferrari endurance racing legends, making him one of the three “immortals” of Team #50 to win Le Mans.
