Big celebration at Silverstone: for the 75th anniversary of MotoGP, the 22 bikes on the track will sport a special retro livery dedicated to the historic years of the World Championship.
MotoGP is gearing up for a historic anniversary celebration at Silverstone: the Monster Energy British Grand Prix promises to be an epic event, with MotoGP celebrating its 75th anniversary in grand style. For the first time ever, all 22 riders on the grid for the 2024 MotoGP World Championship will race at Silverstone with a unique livery inspired by the past: from Honda to Ducati, from Gresini to Yamaha, it will be a true “return to the past” for the premier class.
Taking a leap into the past, all 11 teams, including the factory squads, will unveil special edition liveries inspired by their rich history of success. Additionally, fans attending the British GP will be able to witness the grand event in person during a special pit lane walk on Thursday at 2:00 PM. To attend this historic moment, a free paddock ticket for Thursday’s Day of Champions is all that’s needed.
But that’s not all: the entire MotoGP World Championship, including the settings, surroundings, and even the BMW M Safety Car, will receive a vintage restyling by the graphic designers. The retro revolution will also include podium celebrations, exhibitions, and more, all of which will pay tribute to the glorious past of MotoGP.
From August 2nd to August 4th (right after the summer break), so, everything is ready for a wonderful journey back in time: from Pecco Bagnaia to Marc Marquez, passing through Jorge Martin, Marco Bezzecchi, and Pedro Acosta, the heroes of MotoGP will adorn themselves with designs and liveries that have written a glorious history spanning, by now, 75 years.
